Une nuit r\u00e9paratrice, un petit-d\u00e9jeuner \u00e9nergisant, je prends le temps de d\u00e9couvrir mon h\u00f4tel, un v\u00e9ritable labyrinthe. Des coins color\u00e9s, fleuris, des jolies perspectives sur le centre historique, cerise sur le g\u00e2teau un toit terrasse charmant avec de multiples coins relax. Je teste les transports locaux en direction du terminal nord de Ofelia, une heure de bus, je c\u00f4toie le quotidien des habitants. En effet, j\u2019essaye d\u2019organiser les transferts successifs car impossible de r\u00e9server ou avoir des informations fiables en ligne. Je reviens vers le centre-ville, tr\u00e8s joli, patrimoine mondial de l\u2019Unesco, le style colonial s\u2019impose partout. Color\u00e9, propre, ordonn\u00e9 je suis assez surpris, je m\u2019attendais plus chaotique. L\u00e9s \u00e9glises sont tr\u00e8s charg\u00e9es, celle des J\u00e9suites un bijou, d\u00e9cevante la cath\u00e9drale, je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les plus petites. De toute fa\u00e7on, tous les 300 m\u00e8tres il y a une \u00e9glise. Je sillonne les ruelles avec prudence mais je me sens pour l\u2019instant en s\u00e9curit\u00e9, la police omnipr\u00e9sente dans cette ville r\u00e9put\u00e9e tr\u00e8s dangereuse. Les gens courtois, un peu timides, l\u2019accent a chang\u00e9, c\u2019est m\u00e9lodieux.<\/p>\n

La topographie de Quito est assez particuli\u00e8re, tout en longueur sur une superficie immense. La nuit tombe, changement de d\u00e9cor, \u00e0 partir de 18 heures le centre se vide, les restaurants ferment \u00e0 20 heures. L\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 fait des ravages, l\u2019animation de la journ\u00e9e dispara\u00eet, un certain malaise s\u2019installe.<\/p>\n

Je rentre \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4tel, dans un centre quasiment d\u00e9sert, je fais tr\u00e8s attention, ma jolie chambre m\u2019attend pour un repos pr\u00e9matur\u00e9 bien m\u00e9rit\u00e9. Una notte di riposo, una colazione energizzante, mi prendo il tempo per scoprire il mio hotel, un vero labirinto. Angoli colorati e fioriti, incantevoli viste sul centro storico e, ciliegina sulla torta, un’incantevole terrazza panoramica con molteplici aree relax. Provo i trasporti locali verso il terminal nord di Ofelia, a un’ora di autobus, e mi immergo nella vita quotidiana degli abitanti. Infatti, sto cercando di organizzare i trasferimenti successivi perch\u00e9 \u00e8 impossibile prenotare o avere informazioni affidabili online. Ritorno nel centro citt\u00e0, molto carino, patrimonio dell’UNESCO, lo stile coloniale \u00e8 ovunque. Colorato, pulito, ordinato, sono abbastanza sorpreso, mi aspettavo pi\u00f9 caotico. Le chiese sono molto affollate, quella dei Gesuiti \u00e8 un gioiello, la cattedrale \u00e8 deludente, preferisco quelle pi\u00f9 piccole. Comunque ogni 300 metri c’\u00e8 una chiesa.<\/p>\n

Vago per le strade con cautela, ma per il momento mi sento al sicuro: la polizia \u00e8 onnipresente in questa citt\u00e0, notoriamente molto pericolosa. La gente \u00e8 cortese, un po’ timida, l’accento \u00e8 cambiato, \u00e8 melodioso. La topografia di Quito \u00e8 piuttosto particolare: si estende in lunghezza su un’area immensa. Scende la notte, cambia aria, dalle 18 il centro si svuota, i ristoranti chiudono alle 20. L’insicurezza crea scompiglio, l’eccitazione della giornata svanisce e subentra un certo disagio. Ritorno in albergo, in un centro quasi deserto, sono molto attento, la mia bella stanza mi aspetta per un meritato riposo mattutino.<\/p>\n
